Common Name:
Electric Pink Cabbage Tree

Description:
Cordyline banksii Electric Pink™ (Sprilecpink) is a striking ornamental foliage plant known for its bold, neon-pink and deep burgundy striped leaves that make a dramatic statement in any landscape. This New Zealand native cultivar forms a clumping habit of strappy, upright foliage that adds vibrant colour and a tropical feel to garden beds, feature pots, or modern planting schemes. Unlike some other cordylines, Electric Pink™ is multi-stemmed, offering a bushier form that holds colour exceptionally well throughout the year.

Perfectly suited to Melbourne’s climate, this variety is cold-hardy, wind-tolerant, and moderately drought-tolerant once established. It thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soils. In spring and summer, mature plants may produce clusters of small, fragrant white flowers on long stems, followed by berries. However, the real appeal of Electric Pink™ lies in its foliage impact. It’s excellent for feature planting, contrast borders, containers, and adding architectural structure to mixed garden designs.
