Common Name:
Blue Moon Bindweed

Description:
Convolvulus MOON Series ‘New Blue Moon’ is a compact, trailing perennial prized for its lush silver-green foliage and vibrant blue, trumpet-shaped flowers. A newer addition to the MOON Series®, this cultivar brings a richer, more intense blue bloom than earlier selections. It thrives in sunny positions, offering a striking contrast against foliage plants or gravel gardens. Ideal for cascading over retaining walls, spilling from containers, or acting as a dense, weed-suppressing ground cover, ‘New Blue Moon’ delivers both form and function. In Melbourne’s climate, it grows well in free-draining soils and benefits from occasional trimming to maintain shape and encourage fresh flowering growth. Though frost-tender, it can behave as a semi-perennial in milder winters or be replanted annually. Its profusion of blooms appears from late spring through to early autumn, creating long-lasting seasonal colour with minimal maintenance.
